Virginia Natural Living News - September 2007

Greetings! I hope you are enjoying the change of seasons here in the NRV and Roanoke Valley. Here in Blacksburg, a few trees are just starting to color a few of their leaves. There are several things going on this weekend - dancing, yoga, and celebrating the Equinox. There is an upcoming seminar at the Blacksburg Library on acupuncture, and an announcement about classes offered through the YMCA Open U.

Please send suggestions, activities, or questions to Larissa via the web form. To view the directory, upcoming and ongoing events, or to list your business or service, please visit Virginia Natural Living.

Equinox Celebration, Sunday, 9/23, 4pm

Fire Circle at 4:00 PM with pot luck dinner to follow. Join us as we mark another quarter turn of the wheel of our year. Seasonal celebrations are a chance to step out of our day-to-day lives, check in with our inner guidance, and share our intentions with community. Fall Equinox is a time of balance, when day and night length are equal.

Directions: From Blacksburg, take the 460 Bypass to the last Christiansburg exit. Turn left, go past the Shelor motor mile and Cracker Barrel and continue east until the Citgo station on the left. Turn right onto Mount Pleasant, which is just before the Citgo gas station, on the left. Go about 1.5 miles to Georges Run Road. Turn left onto Georges Run and go about 2.5 miles to Lizard Creek Rd. Turn left onto Lizard Creek and go all the way to the end of the gravel road (through a gate, up a hill) to the white house at the end. Please plan to arrive on time for the fire circle.
